Based on the results of an initial Environmental Review, Larchford Limited has established a clear Environmental Policy to attain that goal, the Policy focuses on defining environmental responsibilities of Management, Staff and Suppliers.

Larchford Limited, as a responsible company, fully supports Agenda 21 which is a programme of action for sustainable development and recognises that Business and Industry as a major group are partners in undertaking the activities outlined.

 

The Objectives under Agenda 21

  1. Encourage concept of stewardship in management/utilisation of natural resources by entrepreneurs
  2. Increase the number of entrepreneurs engaged in enterprises that subscribe to and implement sustainable development

 

Strategy and Planning

  • Consider Environmental Issues in Investment Policy and Practice
  • Minimise the Environmental Impact on new developments through the use of Environmental Management Procedures and Environmental Impact Assessments in strategic planning and project definitions and implementation
  • Influence suppliers in order to ensure that they contribute to the realisation of the Policy

 

Specific Policy Goals

  • Prevent pollution by ensuring all necessary training and equipment is made available to all staff and notify suppliers and clients of our intentions
  • Support the use of best available technologies and management practices
  • Promotion of appropriate Environmental Legislation
  • Commitment to recovery and recycling as opposed to disposal where feasible
  • Reduction in the use of hazardous substances and use alternatives where possible
  • Reduction on the consumption of resources, materials, water and energy

Compliance

  • Co-operation with Regulatory Bodies and Authorities
  • Compliance with European Regulations in areas of operation
  • Compliance with Local or Corporate Environmental Standards whichever are the most stringent
  • Compliance with the principles set down by Industry Association or the ICC business charter for sustainable development

 

Training and Comunication

  • Train all staff in the environmental aspects of their work duties
  • Share environmental experiences
  • Advise clients and business associates of our environmental policy commitments
  • Encourage open dialogue with staff, clients, business associated and general public about our environmental performance

 

Health and Safety

Execute all operations in such manner that the Health and Safety of staff and public are not jeopardised.
